Trellis Academy Statement of Faith

Trellis Academy is a Christ-centered school. Our faith shapes the culture, character formation, and worldview through which we teach and lead. While we do not require families to sign a statement of faith in order to enroll, we believe it is important to be transparent about the beliefs that guide our community.

We ask that families respect the Christian foundation of the school and refrain from promoting teachings or doctrines that conflict with our core beliefs.

We affirm the following:

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word and serves as our final authority in matters of faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man — born of a virgin, living a sinless life, performing miracles, dying in our place, rising from the dead, ascending to heaven, and one day returning in power and glory.
We believe that all people fall short of God’s perfect standard and are reconciled to Him only by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the reality of eternal life.
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells in believers, transforming hearts and producing spiritual fruit in those who follow Him.
We believe marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman as revealed in Scripture.
We believe God intentionally creates each person as male or female, reflecting His design and image.
We believe God is the Creator of heaven and earth.

This statement summarizes the core convictions that shape our teaching and community life. While it does not address every theological detail, Scripture remains our guiding authority and foundation for belief and conduct.

Ms. Rae Klein

2ND - 4TH GRADE TEACHER

Rae Klein is a second-generation teacher with a passion for creating engaging, student-centered learning experiences.

She studied at Bennington College before transferring to Texas A&M University at Galveston, where she focused on marine biology and fisheries.

Ms. Rae has a background in both Montessori and Reggio-inspired education. She believes strongly in giving students ownership of their studies and classroom environment, encouraging self-paced learning and allowing children to take an active role in their education.

She is also a firm believer that nature is one of the best teachers, and you’ll often find her taking learning beyond the classroom and teaching outside.

Ms. Rae loves science, nature, SCUBA diving, and cooking. When she’s not on the water, you’ll most likely find her digging in the dirt with her daughter.
